Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The only child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. When she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. She was praised for her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous important projects in both the US as well as internationally. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and the French historical mini-series Napoleon. Her other roles include being a jury member at two festivals: the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
